You’re expecting, and now you need to figure out what to expect from your newborn session – let me help you!
How to Find the Perfect Newborn Photographer (Hint: You Just Did 😉)
Step 1: Do Your Research!
✨ Who’s in your area? Oh hey, that’s me!
✨ What do past clients say? That I’m patient, gentle, and amazing with babies.
✨ What’s my photography style? A little moody, a little dramatic—I love using soft shadows to add depth and emotion.
✨ Will my photos look beautiful in your home? Absolutely! That’s the goal
Step 2: Love My Work? Let’s Chat!
✨ Do I have availability? Shoot me a message, and let’s find a date!
✨ What packages do I offer? I have several options to fit your needs—newborn Sessions-Pricing packages-click here to check them out.
The most booked session is the Classic newborn Session which include Props, bean bag posing and family pictures with baby.
✨ Is your baby in safe hands? 1000%! I’ve trained with world-renowned newborn photographers for the past four years to ensure I safely handle and pose your baby. Plus, as a mom of three, I like to think I know what I’m doing. 😉 I’m also fully up to date on all vaccines for extra peace of mind.
✨ How long have I been in business? Seven years and counting!
✨ Am I licensed & insured? Yes, I run a fully legitimate business. Beware of photographers who don’t—many don’t even know they should be licensed and insured!
Step 3: Booking & Preparing for Your Session
When should you book? As early as possible! I recommend reaching out in your second trimester—some clients book as early as 8 weeks pregnant. My schedule fills up fast, so don’t wait! I also offer Belly to baby packages which include Maternity and Newborn sessions ---> Click her for Belly to baby sessions details
Once you’re booked, I’ll reserve your due date. Since babies come on their own schedule, I only take a certain number of due dates per month to ensure we can schedule within those precious first two weeks. If your baby is already here and you’re hoping to squeeze in a session—reach out anyway! Sometimes I have last-minute openings.
Step 4: What Happens After Baby Arrives?
✨ Confirming Your Session: Once your little one is here, we’ll set a firm date and I’ll send a prep guide with everything you need to know—including styling tips for family shots.
✨ Best Time for Photos: Newborn sessions are best done when baby is 5-14 days old.
✨ Where? My cozy in-home studio in North Phoenix (85024), Monday–Friday at 10.00 AM.
✨ Special Note for Baby Boys: If you plan on circumcision, schedule before the procedure or wait at least 5 days after for baby’s comfort.
Step 5: What to Expect at Your Session
✨ How long does it take? About 2-4 hours ( my newborn session is baby led session which me, i will never rush your baby)—this allows time for feedings, soothing, and capturing all those tiny details.
✨ What if my baby is awake? No worries! Some babies start wide-eyed, and that’s totally okay. We’ll roll with it!
✨ How do we pose baby?
✔ We will begin the newborn session with some swaddled shots for that cozy, wrapped-up look. (beautiful custom style props set up)
✔ Then we will do some bare baby shots,(bean bag posing) but only if your little one is comfortable! If your baby isn’t a fan of being naked, we won’t force it.
✔ We will then wrap up our session with some beautiful newborn posing with mom, dad, and sibling. (Family poses with baby)
✨ Do you guarantee certain poses? Nope! Every baby is different, and I let them lead the way. If they’re awake, we’ll focus on sweet, alert shots. If they’re sleepy, we’ll gently transition into those dreamy curled-up poses.
